Recipe for Turkey Steaks With Sausalito Salsa


3 slice 1/2 thick turkey breast
3/4 cup diced, seeded tomato
1/2 cup peeled, diced orange
1 4 oz can diced green chilies
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
3 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
2 to 3 - tsp pared, minced gingerroot
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 to 2 - tbsp butter or margarine


Cut each turkey slice into 2 pieces; cover and set aside. Combine tomato, orange, chilies, onions, cilantro, gingerroot and salt in medium bowl; set aside. Melt butter in large skillet over medium- high heat. Saute turkey steaks, half at a time, if necessary, until lightly browned on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to serving platter; spoon salsa on top. Garnish with cilantro sprigs. Makes 6 servings.
