Recipe for Baked Noodles And Ham


1/2 lb noodles, wide
1 cup ham, cooked; diced
1 egg; beaten
2 tablespoon butter; melted
1/4 cup sour cream; at room temperature
2 tablespoon dill or parsley, fresh; chopped
1 salt and pepper; to taste
1 bread crumbs; fine, dry


Cook noodles according to package directions until just tender. Drain. While noodles are still warm, combine with remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs. Sprinkle the inner surfaces of a buttered shallow baking dish with bread crumbs; spoon the noodle-ham mixture into dish. Sprinkle top with bread crumbs. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350F.) for 40 mins., or until mixture is cooked. Serves 4.
