Recipe for Zesty Franks


1/4 cup beer
2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 1/2 cup bottled hickory smoke- flavored bar; becue sauce
10 oz jar apple jelly
1 several dashes bottled hot pepper s; auce
16 oz package frankfurters or
1 lb cocktail weiners
1 1/2 cup frozen small whole onions


For sauce, in a small saucepan combine beer and cornstarch, then stir in barbecue sauce, apple jelly, and hot pepper sauce. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly, then cook and stir for 2 minutes more.

Bias-slice franks into bite-size pieces. Stir franks or cocktail weiners and frozen onions into sauce. Cook till heated through. Serve warm.
