Recipe for Un-Caesar Salad


1 to 4 cloves garlic, to
1 taste, chopped
4 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon capers including the brine
4 tablespoon chickpeas
4 tablespoon additional chickpea can or
1 cooking liquid
2 teaspoon tamari, or to taste -
1 depends on salt in beans
1 single additional capers for
1 garnish
1 single pepper
1 single croutons (optional)
1 single romaine lettuce


Blend everything except the last three items until only tiny pieces of chickpea are visible. (I used a Braun hand-blender). Toss Romaine lettuce with mixture. Garnish with the capers and fresh ground black pepper and croutons. Makes somewhere around 1 cup.
