Recipe for Haitian Hot Pepper Sauce


3 each habanero or 6 serrano chiles, stems; removed, chopped
1/2 cup papaya, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup finely chopped onions
3 each cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 cup malt vinegar


Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes. Place mixture in blender and blend until smooth.
