Recipe for Hot & Sweet Salsa


1 each 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 each 4 1/2 oz can tomato sauce
1 large onion
3 each cloves garlic
4 each jalapeno peppers, seeded and choppe; d fine
2 each serrano peppers, seeded and chopped; fine
3 each habanero peppers, seeded and choppe; d fine
1/4 cup marukan gourmet seasoned rice vineg; ar
1 teaspoon mexican oregano, crushed
1 tablespoon ancho chile powder (plain)
1 tablespoon new mexican chile powder (plain)
1 olive oil


Saute onion, garlic, peppers in olive oil until onions are translucent. Add liquid ingredients and chile powder. Bring to a boil, and then simmer 10 minutes or until desired consistency is reached. Allow flavors to blend for 24 hours before use. Yield: Approximately 40 oz
