Recipe for Squash And Apple Casserole


3 cup squash, butternut; cubed, cooked
1 1/2 cup apples; stewed
1 salt
3/4 cup sugar, brown; firmly packed
6 tablespoon butter (or marg.)
1 cinnamon, ground


Place 1 cup squash in a buttered casserole; top with 1/2 cup apples. Sprinkle lightly with salt and 1/4 cup sugar; dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Repeat layers twice; sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
