Recipe for Hungarian Beef Gulya

Ingredients

4 slice bacon
2 large onions, sliced
1 1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 each flour
3 lb beef round steak
2 each garlic cloves, minced
1 can beef broth
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed

Instructions

Saute bacon until crisp, remove. Cut beef into 1" pieces. Brown in bacon fat. Remove. Saute onion in bacon fat until golden. Add garlic and paprika. Cook stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Return beef to pan. Add beef broth, salt and caraway seed. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Thicken sauce with flour mixed with water. Serve over cooked noodles.
