Recipe for Keftathes (Greek Meatballs)


1 lb hamburger
4 slice dampened bread
1 small onion chopped or grated
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 beaten egg salt and pepper to taste


Mix all ingredients together. Make into small balls and roll in flour until thoroughly covered. Fry in pan containing 1/8 inch vegetable oil. Cook on one side and then turn over. Add oil as needed. Heat oil to medium heat. Should make approximately 20 meatballs.
