Recipe for Chili Dogs #2


1/2 lb ground beef
2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1 can campbell's pork & beans in tomato s; auce (16 oz.) or
1 can campbell's ranchero beans (15 1/2 o; z.)
2 tablespoon chopped and seeded vlasic mild or h; ot cherry peppers
8 frankfurters
8 frankfurter buns, split and toasted
1/2 cup finely chopped onion


To make chili: In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, cook beef, chili powder and cumin until no pink remains in meat, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat. Stir in beans, pressing with spoon to mash slightly. Stir in peppers; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

On grill rack, arrange frankfurters directly above medium-hot coals. Grill, uncovered, 5 to 8 minutes or until heated through, turning often. Place frankfurters in buns. Spoon about 1/4 cup chili and 1 tablespoon onion over each. Serves 8
