Recipe for Island Spareribs


1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoon dry ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
4 lb spareribs


Mix soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and ginger together and let stand overnight in fridge. Rub spareribs on both sides with the mixture of salt and sugar. Let stand about 2 hors. Brush with the chilled sauce and let stand at least another hour. Grill well on both sides, brushing well with sauce.
