Recipe for Biscotta


4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 1/3 cup flour
1 1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon anise flavoring
1 1/3 sticks butter (softened)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, blend well. Add anise flavoring. Mix flour and baking powder together. Mix well. Form dough on lightly greased cookie sheet (into long cylinder shape) and bake 20 to 25 minutes. Take out of oven. Slice diagonally and put back in oven for 5 minutes; cool. Drizzle cookies with thin powdered sugar glaze mixed with water and sprinkle with small candies.
