Recipe for Sweet Italian Spaghetti Sauce


2 lb sweet italian sausage
1 medium onion, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 oz minced black olives
1 cup minced green pepper
4 oz olive oil
4 oz tomato paste
16 oz tomato sauce
2 lb spaghetti noodles
1 cup chopped fresh tomato
1 quart water
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1/2 lb grated parmesan cheese


Brown sausage, onions, green peppers, and olives in the oil and drain. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, chopped tomato and water mix well and simmer on low for 2 1/2 hours adding liquid as needed, let thicken to desired preference. Pour over noodles and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese as desired.
