1/2 cup butter -- melted
1 egg
1/2 cup cream
Mix all ingredients together and spread the batter into a greased 8-inch pan. Bake in a preheated 450 F oven for 10 to 15 mins, until golden brown. This exceptionally rich shortcake is the best base for your favorite berries.
