Recipe for Marinated Mirliton


12 each mirlitons
10 tablespoon vinegar (cider)
1/2 teaspoon thyme, powdered
2 tablespoon salt
1 cup corn oil
1/2 teaspoon oregano, powdered
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 garlic cloves (whole) as desired.
1 garlic powder to taste


Peel and remove seed from mirlitons and cut into bite size pieces. In lge. pot of boiling water, place mirlitons and cook for no more than 3 min. Drain and cool. Make up marinade and pour over mirlitons.
