Recipe for Date & Orange Chutney


1 chopped orange
1 cup chopped dates
1 teaspoon freshly grated gingerroot
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1 tablespoon brown rice syrup
1/4 cup raisins
1 pinch crushed chili pepper
1 pinch salt


Cook over medium-low heat 20-30 minutes. Cool and serve.

Keeps well in refrigerator several weeks.
