Recipe for Rum Cake


1 pkg duncan hines golden butter
1 cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup water
1 small pkg instant vanilla pudding
1/3 cup chopped pecans --
1 (optional)
1 stick butter
1/4 cup rum
1 cup sugar


Grease heavily and flour a bundt pan. Sprinkle nuts on bottom of pan. Mix all ingredients and pour into pan over nuts. Bake at 325F for 50-60 minutes. While the cake is baking, make the glaze.

Glaze: Put glaze ingredients in a small pan and boil for 2 minutes. Pour glaze on the cake immediately upon removing from oven. Let cool in pan for twenty minutes before turning out.
