Recipe for Thanksgiving Bread


1 1/2 cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon thyme
1 1/2 cup corn meal
1 1/2 cup chopped celery
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped pimiento
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup melted margarine


Sift the first 6 ingredients. Add onion, celery and pimento. Stir in eggs, milk and margarine; stir only until blended. Pour into 10 inch skillet and bake for 40 minutes at 400 degrees. To store, wrap in foil and refrigerate.
