Recipe for Panettone

Ingredients

3/4 cup plus 2 tb water
1/4 cup margarine or butter, soft
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/4 cup gold medal better for bread flour
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon dry milk
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon fleischmann's bread machine yeast
1/2 cup chopped mixed dried fruit

Instructions

1. Make 1 1/2-pound recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups flour.

2. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except fruit in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Add fruit at the raisin/nut signal or 5 to 10 minutes before last kneading cycle ends.

3. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Do not use delay cycles. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
